The 0.3 micron specification in our manual refers specifically to the performance of the HEPA filter itself. This is the standard value for HEPA filters, which are tested to capture 99.97% of particles of that size. However, Coway air purifiers use Hypercaptive™ Filtration Technology, an advanced multi-stage filtration system. This system combines pre-filters, activated carbon filters, and HEPA filters, along with additional features that improve the overall filtration efficiency of the unit.

This extensive filtration process allows the entire unit to achieve an efficiency of 99.999% for ultrafine particles down to 0.01 microns. This means that while the HEPA filter itself has a filter fineness of 0.3 microns, the entire system is designed to capture and remove much smaller particles.
